Makeup Inspiration~Megan Fox

Megan Fox is  a brunette and I am a brunette and I kinda like her makeup...a lot! Her look has evolved over the last few years and I have to say I love them all. I definitely gain inspiration from these. Take a look...

How beautiful is she?

The "no makeup" makeup...she said in an interview she was so nervous about this look
because until this night she always wore false lashes for big appearances.

Love the liner and lipstick, this is from a few years back and a lip she sported often

I just like the youthfulness of the makeup, especially the reddish/coral gloss

love the silver eye and nude lip...and how amazing is her hair?

Love the strong brow she has in this photo shoot

I'm going to be famous one day makeup

As you know, I love any excuse to play in makeup so when my baby sister decided to audition for some acting gigs, I was so happy to get her ready for the head shots. I always call her my baby sister, but as I was putting her makeup on I realized...gosh, she is not a baby anymore! 13 and ready to take the world by storm! Will she be famous??? Stay tuned...

A little preview from the photo shoot...pictures by MK, makeup and hair by me

Obviously, for her age and the nature of the photo shoot, the makeup needed to be extremely minimal, while still highlighting her beautiful features. The following is a list of the products I used and how I applied them.

Neutrogena Light Night Cream- hand applied to the whole face
Clinique Acne Solutions liquid makeup in 01 fresh alabaster- hand applied and really worked into the skin for a sheer lightweight look (this product is on the dry side, as it is meant to dry out and control acne, while not irritating the skin, not ideal for individuals with dry skin)
Clinique french vanilla eye shadow- applied with an eye shadow brush to the lids, just to even the skin tone and take out any redness
Maybelline Unstoppable eyeliner in onyx- lined the upper water line
L'Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes mascara in black- applied to upper lashes and bottom (the bottom was just a quick coat because I didn't want them clumpy, just lightly defined)
I mixed a pink blush and light bronze and softly applied through the cheek bone
Clinique Almost Powder in 02 neutral fair- applied where needed
MAC Lipglass in Wee Coquette- applied concealer to the lip first to cancel out the natural redness and then applied the lipglass to give her lips a very sheer glossy look

*Hair- Her hair is thick and naturally straight, I quickly ran a straightener through the front section to take any curl out of the ends of her bangs. I used BED HEAD manipulator quite generously, first working it through my fingers and then through her hair, pulling the front section forward and to the side and really giving it texture.

Makeup Inspiration~Gwen Stefani

Mom, wife, singer, band member, fashion designer...Gwen Stefani does it all! She always manages to look flawless whether she is playing with her kids or attending a red carpet event. She has perfected the red lip, which has become her signature look and one of the first things she is asked to reveal in her interviews is her lipstick of choice. It is no secret, I think she is pretty amazing and if I could pull off the platinum blonde I would do it in a second, but since I can't, I will simply wear red lipstick and maybe name one of my future kids Gwen.

Her classic look for her 2012 Harper's Bazaar photo shoot

Her 2012 Instyle makeup. I love the new twist on her signature look. The two toned blue eyeliner is gorgeous!

Love the electric blue and soft lip...and her updo!

The contrast between her pale skin and dark eyes and lip is stunning

I wanted to add one with her current hairstyle of choice..."the fun bun"

Makeup Inspiration~Wildfox

Wildfox is one of my favorite t-shirt brands. They are comfy and feel lived in and worn and for me that is everything I want a t-shirt to be. They just recently did a photoshoot for their new swimsuit line and while I absolutely adore their swimwear, I have to say I was a little distracted by the amazing makeup! It has this wonderful 60's vibe and it is just so beautifully done. Oh, and after looking at these I have come to the conclusion, red is the best hair color and it is the only one for me and it goes so well with all the cute Wildfox swimsuits...so therefore, I will be a red head!

Love, love, love the makeup! Checkout the rest of the photoshoot and the all swimwear at wildfox.com

Makeup Inspiration~Priscilla Presley

Some of my very favorite makeup looks come from the 60's. I love to play up my eyes and the 60's were ALL about the eyes! Priscilla Presley is the perfect example and her look is one of my favorites to recreate. The following photos are ones I look to to help me get the look right.

This look is so beautiful! I love the extended eyeliner and the ultra thick lashes.
This look is not quite as dramatic, so it is a little more wearable, but still super gorgeous..
The liner is only on the upper lid which really opens the eyes and makes the top lashes seem
even bigger!

Check out the hair...grab a teasing comb people! This is a very heavy eye. Long lashes, thick liner, and arched brows

And this is my personal favorite makeup look...the wedding makeup. How stunning is she?!!
