I'm going to be famous one day makeup

As you know, I love any excuse to play in makeup so when my baby sister decided to audition for some acting gigs, I was so happy to get her ready for the head shots. I always call her my baby sister, but as I was putting her makeup on I realized...gosh, she is not a baby anymore! 13 and ready to take the world by storm! Will she be famous??? Stay tuned...

A little preview from the photo shoot...pictures by MK, makeup and hair by me

Obviously, for her age and the nature of the photo shoot, the makeup needed to be extremely minimal, while still highlighting her beautiful features. The following is a list of the products I used and how I applied them.

Neutrogena Light Night Cream- hand applied to the whole face
Clinique Acne Solutions liquid makeup in 01 fresh alabaster- hand applied and really worked into the skin for a sheer lightweight look (this product is on the dry side, as it is meant to dry out and control acne, while not irritating the skin, not ideal for individuals with dry skin)
Clinique french vanilla eye shadow- applied with an eye shadow brush to the lids, just to even the skin tone and take out any redness
Maybelline Unstoppable eyeliner in onyx- lined the upper water line
L'Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes mascara in black- applied to upper lashes and bottom (the bottom was just a quick coat because I didn't want them clumpy, just lightly defined)
I mixed a pink blush and light bronze and softly applied through the cheek bone
Clinique Almost Powder in 02 neutral fair- applied where needed
MAC Lipglass in Wee Coquette- applied concealer to the lip first to cancel out the natural redness and then applied the lipglass to give her lips a very sheer glossy look

*Hair- Her hair is thick and naturally straight, I quickly ran a straightener through the front section to take any curl out of the ends of her bangs. I used BED HEAD manipulator quite generously, first working it through my fingers and then through her hair, pulling the front section forward and to the side and really giving it texture.

xoxo,
